Thanks to Green Works’, I now realize that You Don’t Have to be Ridiculous to be Green….that happens to be their newest campaign which offers some amazing videos and materials and helps us consumers overcome obstacles of being green!
One of the biggest obstacles I’ve faced is the pressure I’ve felt from other people when I do simple things out of necessity. For example, I’ve received some very intriguing looks when I’ve wiped up a mess with a paper towel instead of with a washable and reusable towel. I’m sorry! I am new to the world of being green and sometimes the need to clean up the chocolate milk my kid spilled needs to be taken care of right away. I do my best to use everything in moderation, but I let bad habits slip every now and then. Trust me when I say I notice the looks you give me when I do un-green things…you know who you are!
I’ve always felt like you’re judged no matter what if you are not completely green. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Isn’t it true that doing as much as you can to help our environment is better than doing nothing at all? To me it is like this: Putting one penny in a piggy bank every day does not seem like a big deal, but how much money will you have in one year? Five years? How about ten? Now lets look at that in terms of paper towels not used…makes you think doesn’t it? The little things add up, which is why I believe firmly in doing what you can.
Green Works knows there is always a lot of confusion and uncertainty around being green. This is why they’ve made it easy, not only do they offer amazing products to help us keep our homes clean but they’ve also created a brilliant video series called Green Housewives. Yes, it is that good!
Check out these findings from a recent survey:
It is obvious nowadays that being green has become a status symbol among women. Whoever can be green better has more bragging rights. It has become more about who can be better rather than truly caring about our environment. We can change that! Lets make being green about the good instead of the bragging and status.
This is a shocking one…
Ninety-three percent of women agree that being environmentally friendly should be accessible to everyone. Most women say affordability makes green product purchases more accessible (63%) than any other factor.
We can change this! Especially with Green Works help.
