I have a new obsession. My Silhouette.
Just last week I posted a craft that I made, and mentioned my hopes of creating my own designs someday. That dream didn’t take very long to fulfill. I jumped right into the design studio, and after three hours came up with my very own printable Valentine craft for you.
‘You Make My Heart Soar’ Valentine’s Day Card Printable
I had a lot of fun doing this, and it is so simple that it is perfect for kids to join in on. It comes with two pieces, and all you need to do is glue them together and sign your name and they are ready.
I personally love making things that are attractive, useful, original, and make your lives easier. Especially for the people who have kids who need to take Valentine’s to school. We all know how stressful that can be, especially if your kids happen to forget about the class name list until the night before. Avoiding that nightmare is always a priority for me.
My only suggestion is that you do not print this on normal paper, you want something sturdier so stick with a nice cardstock.
One of the many perks of using a cardstock is that you can choose any color combination you want. Print at least two pages, in colors that match well, and you will have a beautiful dual colored card for your holiday.
Making each pack of cards your very own by using your favorite love-inspired color gives it that extra kick that shows you put a lot of thought and love into it.
Printable PDF Instructions
There are two PDF files available, one that has color, similar to the colors of the cardstock I used, and a black and white version which is great for kids to create their own masterpiece.
After you’ve printed, cut everything out carefully and glue the hearts onto the main card.
If you printed using different colored papers, glue the hearts on a card of a different color. This will make it ‘pop’ and be more visually pleasing.
Download the correct file for the Silhouette Design Studio that you currently own. I have provided the files for both version 2 and version 3. Remember that if you choose the wrong file type it will not work so make sure you double check!
Open the file in your design studio, make any changes you would like and sent to print.
Separate your paper pieces, and then glue hearts onto the cards
