Soy Oil Triple Berry Pancakes

I've mentioned before of certain ways to make your favorite foods in a healthier fashion, and this is another way to do so! I can name so many recipes that use oil as a main ingredient. In fact every person I know has oil stocked in their cupboards because of how often they use it. We make some great things with oil whether we are frying some chicken legs or making a birthday cake. How can you make it healthier? Try using soy oil, a healthier alternative to many oils on the market today. Did you know Soybean oil has the following better-for-you health benefits: 0g trans fats per serving. Great source of Omega-3's, which help reduce blood pressure and prevent … [Read more...]

Mazola® Sobrecitos™ Chicken Egg Drop Soup

We have a very unique palette in our house, we go from asian inspired dishes to my mother-in-laws delicious Peruvian cuisine. It doesn't matter what type of food we are cooking, bouillon has always been a staple. We use it in everything from soups to rice dishes, and believe me when I say we always have a pretty good stock pile in our pantry--we hate nothing more than preparing to make dinner and finding out we're all out of bouillon. Especially when I want to make Egg Drop Soup! Mazola® Sobrecitos™ is different from the original cubes, though, they dissolve instantly but keep the same great taste. Talk about making our lives easier in the kitchen! Mazola® … [Read more...]

This is super easy to make and much better than any box mix you buy at the store. Once you make it, you'll never go back to buying. It may seem like a lot of work or many steps but really it's easy. As long as you don't burn it, and get the mixture to thicken you are all set. Some people I know do not like adding in the egg, though I always have but it has been done that option is up to you. Last week I posted about how I will be cooking along with the 5 Dinners 1 Hour meal plan. I must say this is going to be very interesting—and I am so very excited to be doing this. It is going to be a fun road. I learned something today though—that I do not have a lot of things in my kitchen. I am wondering now how I ever managed to make a meal that was not previously frozen. I am just going to have to blame this on the fact we barely moved in. Starting out, I thought I would finish in the hour. But stopping to take … [Read more...]
